Emma Bryceland
What a lovely poet. She has some delightful combinations of images and emotions that stimulate and evoke past memories. I suspect she never quite has enough time to polish their lustre but maybe she will as she reflects.
This is beautiful - (sourced http://www.nimanoa.co.uk/ , Jan 2005.)
MOTHER by Emma Bryceland
"As I touched her gentle face
my life changed
emotion flooded my heart
and I could hardly breathe
with the realisation of the depth
of my love for her.
She was the most beautiful, precious life
I had ever seen.
I cradled her in my arms, and at that moment,
I knew,
I would die for her.
My child."
